"Named after a breed of fighting bulls, the mid-engine, all-wheel drive Gallardo is powered by a V1O engine producing 492-horsepower. It is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or EGear, an automatic paddle-shift 6-speed manual, Lamborghini's robotized sequential gearchange system. The space-frame chassis and body are made of aluminum. The rear spoiler deploys at speed to aid stability. Developed and built in part by Audi, which owns Lamborghini, the Gallardo is a bit smaller than Lamborghini's other model, Murcielago and Murcielago roadster. Gallardo has conventional doors unlike Murcielago's scissor-like doors."
