"The long-awaited Ford GT makes its appearance in Ford showrooms as a true sportscar. It is a modern interpretation of the legendary Ford GT40 race car of the 1960s. The supercar boasts a 550-horsepower, 5.4-liter supercharged V8 that tops out at 205 miles-per-hour. Ford plans to build 1500 GTsa year maing the mid-engine, two-seater a collector's item. The car stands 44.3 inches tall and will be 182.6 inches in overall length with a width of 76.9 inches. The interior design incorporates the novel 'ventilated seats' and instrument layout of the original car with straightforward analog gauges and a large tachometer. Modern versions of the original car's toggle switches operate key systems. GT also includes AM/FM/CD, Bi-Xenon headlamps, air, remote keyless entry, rear defroster and driver/passenger front air bags."
- quoted from the Philadelphia Auto Show 2005 Buyer's Guide

You would think that the description for a $140k vehicle wouldn't have to mention features like a radio. I would have expected quarter mile times and g-force skid results from a car this pumped up.

Compared to the Ford Shelby GR-1, though, this car looks tame.
